These terms cover your use of the GovCrow website (“GovCrow,” “we,” “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. What GovCrow is
GovCrow is a free website that lets you search open federal contract opportunities copied from the public SAM.gov data file. There are no accounts and no fees. We may change, pause, or end the site at any time.
2. Information only; verify with the issuing agency
Everything on GovCrow is for information only. It may be incomplete, wrong, or out of date. It is not legal, financial, tax, or procurement advice. Before you rely on anything, open the official notice on SAM.gov and verify it with the issuing agency. The official posting always controls. You are responsible for your own bids and decisions. See the Disclaimer.
3. No government affiliation
GovCrow is a private website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SAM.gov, the General Services Administration, or any government agency.
4. Data source
Bid information comes from the public SAM.gov Contract Opportunities data file, which the federal government makes available to the public. Our trade labels, summaries, layout, and code are ours. We shorten descriptions and leave out personal contact details. The underlying notices are public records of the issuing agencies.
5. Sponsors and ads
Some placements on the site are paid. They are always labeled “Sponsored.” Sponsors are not endorsed or checked by us or by any government, and we don’t promise anything about their products, services, or claims. Any dealings with a sponsor are between you and the sponsor. We don’t use third-party ad networks.
6. Using the site
You may use the site for lawful personal or business purposes. Please don’t: break or overload the site or try to get around its security; present GovCrow as an official government site or suggest that we endorse you; use the site to break the law or others’ rights; or copy the site’s design, name, or summaries to run a lookalike service. Using the underlying public bid data from SAM.gov is up to you and SAM.gov’s own terms.
7. Links to other sites
We link to SAM.gov, sponsors, and other sites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
8. Intellectual property
The GovCrow name, logo, design, text, and code are ours or used with permission. You may share links to the site and quote short portions with credit. Other names and marks belong to their owners.
9. No warranties
The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it will win you any contract.
10. Limit on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, GovCrow, its owner(s), and anyone who works for it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost contracts, lost bids, or missed deadlines, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or anything on it, even if we were told such losses were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100.
What this does not limit. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for our own fraud, willful injury, or violation of law, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under California law, including California Civil Code section 1668. If your state doesn’t allow certain limits, they apply only as far as that law allows.
11. California law and disputes
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please email us at [email protected] so we can try to fix it.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
13. Other
If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
